Client: Pat LaFontaine's Companions In Courage
Visit Company Website View Creatives

The Companions in Courage Foundation was founded by NHL Hall of Famer, Pat LaFontaine in 1997. Their mission is to raise funds to build interactive playrooms in hospitals throughout North America. Through innovative communications tools, these playrooms replace the isolation of a hospital with a connection to family, friends and celebrities during each hospital stay.

The Companions in Courage Foundation needed a new web presence that would not only enable them to spread the word about their foundation's activities but also help them in recruiting active members and donations. The site needed to be interactive and professional to stand up to their partners which include Cisco and the Microsoft Corporation but also needed to be soft and inviting to reflect the work they do, which is primarily for terminally ill children.

To achieve CIC's goals in aesthetics, Pinnacle created a website which combined the sleek cleanliness and ease of use associated with high end corporate website's with the bright colors and whimsical nature normally associated with children's books.
Topping off at over 200 pages, the site is a publicity juggernaut, abound with image and video galleries as well as up to date press and news releases that keep visitors and members coming back time and time again for updates.
Within a year of the launch of Pinnacle's version of CIC16.org, the response was so overwhelmingly positive that the foundation needed to take advantage of the traffic passing through its web pages. To do this most effectively, Pinnacle created a full e-Commerce solution that fit in with the look and feel of the site and enabled the Companions in Courage to collect donations on a world wide level.
